MENOMONIE, Wis. — When the Menomonie Area Senior Center counted its blessings last year, two grants from local foundations and civic groups were high on the list. “Project Tables & Chairs” received $8,456.48 from the Sunrise Rotary Club of Menomonie and $4,675.00 from the Community Foundation of Dunn County for the purchase of new dining room tables and chairs for the center.
Continuing its tradition of providing financial support to worthy organizations, the Sunrise Rotary Club of Menomonie donated part of the proceeds from Rotary Fest 2017. Additionally, Rotarian Millie Lenselink wrote a grant to Rotary International to enable the donation to cover the expense of all 90 chairs.
The Community Foundation of Dunn County, a charitable organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life to the community, awarded a grant to the Menomonie Area Senior Center as part of its 2017 annual grant making process. The generous grant exceeded expectations and enabled the purchase of all 10 tables.
